Being Fit! This is most important yet one of the most difficult things for most of the people! Credit goes to the very sedentary lifestyle that we have nowadays! We either can’t find time in the conventional workout hours or when we have the time we can’t find a way to go out or to the gym to workout. So what do we do? What if the gym came home for you and helped you workout anytime you wanted with personalized fitness plan according to your goals? Sounds awesome? Yes, it is and it can come into your smartphone or your iPad or tablet, whatever you have, in form of the app called Fitso : Your Fitness Coach!! I have been using this app for a month and today I will share my experience with it!
Registration and Plans!
Once you download the app, you can either use it without any coach and track your runs and rides or follow the free workouts provided. However, if you need a personal coach then you can register in a plan based on your needs. You can choose between Fitness Coach Plan, Nutrition Coach Plan or Fitness, Nutrition Coach Plans and Running Coach, charges for which are different and as follows. You would need to provide with your name, age, weight, height and goal that you want to achieve and after that you would need to make the payment respective to the plan. That’s it! You are registered!
My experience with the Fitso : Your Fitness Coach App!
Within 48 hours of your registration, your respective coach will reach out to you. There is a chat section as well within the app through which you can ask, discuss or share any problems to which the coach will reply as soon as possible. The coach called me after a day of my registration and introduced himself as “Naveen”. He asked about my lifestyle, meals, medical conditions if any and what about my target. he then suggested the required changes in the meals and lifestyle. He also asked me about my previous experience in workouts, if had any knowledge or experience of working out. He took my input of what kind of plan I would prefer. I didn’t want any mechanical workouts so I asked him to curate a plan with body weight workouts which can be done either indoors or outdoors. He agreed and said that he will get back with the plan as soon as it’s ready!
Within an hour, I got a ping on the chat in the app, that my workout plan is ready and he asked me to check the plan to see if it’s okay with me. Th plan was awesome! Just like I wanted! It had a mix of cardio blasts, strength workouts and stretches! Since I have been a dancer, I always prefer a complete body workout and this was just perfect to me!
The next day I started my workout and it was a great experience. You need to click on the workout plan on the home page that will take you to a page which shows the thumbnails of all the workouts in the pan. You then need to download the workouts and click on Let’s do it. This will start the video instruction. The first clip will be an introduction or demo to the workout that you need to do and then the timer starts. Each workout has the time line specified by the coach which reflects in the video. The video keeps playing for that specified time which kind of acts as a buddy to your workout! Once the first workout is complete, it will ask for how long you did the workout. You need to choose the right option and click on next. This will take you to the video of the next workout. If any particular exercise repeats there would be no intro, so need to ready for the timer to start for any repeat exercise. At the bottom of the video, there is a colored bar which has red, yellow, orange and blue colors, depicting the intensity of the workout. Blue for easy, Orange for Moderately difficult, Yellow for moderate and Red for difficult. Once the workout is complete, the app will show you the time taken and calories burnt through that day’s workout. It then asks for your feedback about how you felt after the workout and how was the plan. I was a little exhausted but felt great. The exhaustion was because of the lack of workout in my life since two or three months! I knew this would come so I was prepared for it. Now, the next the plan was changed!
Now, the next the plan was changed! I realized the plan had different target areas every single day! This was even good as it targets all the muscles which usually are ignored. The plan wasn’t too difficult but was a mix of difficult to moderate and easy workouts. I was able to workout whenever and wherever I wanted. Though the app used to ring a reminder at 6 am in the morning to get up and start working out. If I would miss the workout on any day, it would ping me stating that I missed it and it’s not a good thing and I need to get back from tomorrow. Even the coach calls up and asks why was I not working out. The point is the app and the coach both are keeping an eye on you and there is no way you can skip a workout without feeling ashamed. LOL 😀
The app has many more features like tracking your water intake, etc and it helps you stay on course! One month is not enough for me, but I must say I feel better already and can’t wait to do more in all the future months and transform myself back to a fit and healthy self! I really find this app helpful and if you really want to get fit with the flexibility of time and place, this is the app for you! Highly recommend this to all of you, it’s pretty affordable too! 🙂
